Market Report: March 6, 2016

March 6, 2016

Welcome to the first edition of Gardenista Market Report, a dispatch about the newest outdoor furnishings, technologies, and garden-inspired goods. Our first picks are collected from recent global furniture fairs including IMM Cologne and Maison & Objet in January and the Stockholm Furniture Fair in February. Here are some of our favorites.

Outdoor Lighting

Above: British brand Anglepoise announced it is expanding its range of oversized lighting with the Original 1227 Giant Outdoor Collection, a floor lamp and wall lamp each available in 15 colors (crimson red shown here).

Outdoor Furniture

Above: At the Stockholm Furniture Fair, Swedish furniture brand Massproductions added six new colors to its best-selling Tio outdoor furniture collection—tables and chairs made with galvanized metal wire covered in a Swiss-made polyester coating.

Above: At Maison & Objet, Italian seating company Metalmobil launched Nassau, a new indoor/outdoor polypropelene stacking chair reinforced with glass fiber and available in 10 colors.

Above: New from Room & Board: the low-maintenance Sundby Lounge Chair, made in Minnesota from recycled plastic and available in four stocked colors (plus additional special order colors) including the gray shown here.

Interior Finishes

Above: At Maison & Objet, Italian company Wall&decò unveiled its 2016 collection of offbeat wallpapers, filled with flora and nature motifs like the Floridita palm brach design shown here.
