Trend Alert: Terence Conran for Fermob

November 12, 2014

UK design guru Terence Conran has teamed up with Fermob furniture manufacturer with a new line of outdoor furniture, the Kintbury collection. It’s hardly a surprising collaboration, seeing as Terence points to his own garden as his favorite place to relax and find inspiration. The line may be simple–a table and chair set– but the 24 color choices and elegant curves are far from basic.

Above: Although Fermob is a Paris-based company, retailers sell the furniture around the world, including a US home base in AtlantaS.  Visit the Fermob site for a complete list of retailers. A Kintbury Chair is $407, while Kintbury Table costs $1,171.

Above: Both the table and chairs have steel rod frames, and solid steel sheet surfaces.  An anti-UV powder coating ensures that the furniture will maintain its vibrancy for years to come, despite weather conditions.  Shown above is the Kintbury table in Fjord.

Above: Fermob’s color chart, with 24 distinct options, is broken down into four categories of color: Base, which includes neutrals such as navy, tan and black; Pastel, Intense, which includes deep purple and gold, and Bright, ranging from hot pink to turquoise.  Shown above is the Kintbury chair in Poppy (Coquelicot).

Above: A complete Kintbury table and chair set in Honey (Miel).
