This could be a first, an outdoor bench with its own motto: “To rest on and grow in.” What next, a coat of arms?
The shape-shifting bench lives up to its catchphrase. Sweden-based designer Louise Hederström endowed the Reform bench with an adjustable silhouette. You can flip over the seat plank to transform it into a shallow planting table.
Comes in three colors, by the way:
Above: A Reform Bench and Table in hunter green is about 43 inches long and $1,490 CAD (about $1,155 USD) at Mjölk. Above: Hederström designed the Reform collection (which also includes a dining table) for Skagerak. On both, the graphic stripes in the surface let water run through,” notes Skagerak. Above: “Reform is an all-aluminum piece; a soft touch has been added to make sure it does not feel or appear too rigid,” notes Skagerak. Above: Here’s the Reform bench in a silver white finish, available at Mjölk. It’s also available in black; for details see Skagerak.
