The no-nonsense Retro Tree Stand is handmade in Bear Lake, Michigan, by Floyd Bowling Jr. and Sr. since \1989. The T-bolts make securing the tree easy, and the tripod legs prevent wobbling on uneven floors. One happy customer wrote, &#8\2\20;It belongs in the permanent collection at MoMA.&#8\2\2\1; The model supports an eight-to-nine-foot tree and is \$\169 at Schoolhouse Electric & Co.
