New from Ikea: A Hydroponic Countertop Garden Kit

With the introduction of Ikea’s new Krydda/Växer Cultivation Kit, it’s official: your countertop hydroponic garden is no longer a mere trend. The soil-free kitchen garden has gone mainstream.

Starting last month, Ikea began rolling out its hydroponic growing trays, shelves, and LED lights in different markets. While we wait for the collection to arrive in the US, let’s take a look at the Krydda Collection already for sale in the United Kingdom:

Above: Powder coated steel Krydda Cultivation Units are available in one-, two-, and three-tier configurations, at prices ranging from £16 to £50.
