If like any reasonable person you despise the sound of machine-operated garden tools, then a manual lawn edger may bring you peace and serenity as you enjoy a backdrop of bird song while you cut a neat line at the perimeter of your turf.
Manual lawn edgers fall into two camps, having either serrated rotary blades which you wheel along or half-moon blades you step on to cut through turf. Of the latter, the easiest to operate have a flat lip to step on, making it more comfortable to use your body weight to sink the blade.
