Encourage early, pink, sweet and deliciously tender rhubarb with this Victorian-style earthenware forcer. Designed for practical use, it is also an attractive garden ornament in its own right.
Simply fill the terracotta forcer with straw and position over the emerging rhubarb bud, to protect from frost and provide a cosy environment. You can enjoy rhubarb at Easter, or even as early as Boxing Day, using this technique. But remember not to force the same plant in successive years, enabling it to recover its strength.
