Feldman Architecture was recently charged with repairing, modernizing, and expanding a dilapidated but historic 1860s cottage in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood. The architects added a kitchen/study to the rear of the structure to create a light, airy modernist home that retains the rustic charm of the original cottage. We find the mix of rough wood and stone mixed with clean glass and metal particularly appealing.
