Pittsburgh Curb Appeal
This is our home in Edgewood, Pittsburgh, Pa. The landscaping has been learned by necessity. When we moved in 2008, the yard was neglected. The Juniper earned the nickname “Deadifers!” I began a new plan after remediating the soil and removing the plants and trees. Based on the teachings of the late Loutrell Briggs of Charleston, SC I have created an inviting space. Azalea, Carolina Allspice, Roses and Hydrangea dot the landscape with Iris. Each season has newly blooming plants: Daylily, Butterfly Bush, Crape Myrtle and Hibiscus. A wall was added two years ago. The Ironwork is designed to complement the fence. The Pollinator garden shows the Herringbone brick of the walkways.
