    In a bucolic corner of the Bronx.
  2. Has lived:
    Boston, Connecticut, London, every neighborhood in Manhattan, and on Cranberry Street in Brooklyn.
  3. Design cred:
    I was born into this business—my mother is a journalist/stylist. I got my start at Sotheby's auction house, then worked as a magazine editor at Art & Antiques and House & Garden, among others.
  4. Odd job:
    Ironing bed sheets for JC Penney ads.
  5. In my closet:
    Meg Cohen cashmere scarves and Dosa tunics.
  6. Design icon:
    Sonia Delaunay.
  7. First design love:
    Marimekko from Design Research in Cambridge.
  8. Proudest remodel moment
    Wallpapering our living room and bedroom in pages from the first Encyclopedia Brittanica (a 1960s reissue). Thank you, Johnne Eschleman.
  9. Last item I bought for my house
    Two green metal folding tables from Scout Regalia—they can be hung on the wall and used as dry erase boards.

    A Stephen Antonson plaster chandelier and sconces.
