When David Godshall of landscape architecture firm Terremoto began designing architect Frederik Nilsson's garden, it was mostly dust. But David took the tiny space and transformed it into something lush, verdant, and ultimately, wild. Read on for a tour of the garden.

Tiered gravel steps lead to a small seating area.

A mix of steel, concrete, and cedar provide an architectural backdrop for the lush plantings.

Buried boulders add a natural element to the hardscaping.

A hammock swings under the breezeway.

A narrow natural-boulder path leads towards the opposite street.

The wire mesh fence designed by Frederik is overgrown with jasmine.

Lavender and roses dot the sidewalk median.

Native grasses and sage grow wildly against the stone backdrop.

Boulders sit alongside dry grasses.
