Midcentury Modern in South Florida Gets an Eco-friendly Makeover

I asked for a tropical makeover on a limited budget that would eliminate the water-guzzling grass and the hedges that always needed trimming. The new design is appropriate to the age of the house (1963) and references Roberto Burle Marx, the Brazilian father of modern landscape architecture.
