Description from White Flower Farm

This winsome, perennial Viola from Australia offers large, fragrant blossoms as pretty as porcelain. The creamy white flowers of ‘Blue Moon’ are lightly washed in violet blue and accented by bright yellow eyes. Other noteworthy traits are a compact form (to 8in high) and improved tolerance to summer heat, which extends bloom time.

Viola is a valuable genus composed of over 400 species of perennials from the world’s temperate regions. Extensive hybridizing has resulted in many gradations of flower form and hardiness. The varieties we offer are reliably perennial for us. They prosper in full sun or partial shade (partial shade is always best in the South and the warmest reaches of Zones 9 and 10 in the West). Violas need even moisture and tolerate quite damp soil.
