These tulips’ unusual form and coloration add a sophisticated flair to the mid-spring landscape. Gavota has 4″, classically shaped flowers with somewhat pointed petals that are royal, deep red with broad yellow margins, creating a fancy, elegant look. The fragrant flowers give a chic look to borders and containers. They also make excellent cut flowers in fresh bouquets. From Czechoslovakia, Triumph Tulip Gavota grows 16-18″ tall and blooms in mid spring. Like other tulip varieties, it performs best when the bulb is planted in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. After blooming, the foliage should be allowed to mature and die down naturally. Bulb size: 12+ cm.
