This tote’s sturdy canvas, reinforced with smooth, vegetable tanned cow hide leather, gives the bag a retained shape, making it easy to fill with books, trinkets from the market or picnic gear, and set down conveniently at your side without it toppling over. The straps, which have been hand painted along the sides, are attached to the interior slash and patch pockets with solid brass rivets.
The bag is a representation of Japanese design, at once whimsical, indefinably distinct, and refined to a degree almost unthinkable elsewhere.
