Pride of Madeira

Description from Annie's Annuals & Perennials

Echium fastuosum “Pride of Madeira”

We are so lucky here along the coast of California, to be able to grow this plant straight out of “Fantasia.” Huge, dramatic, blue-purple spikes appear on the end of upward curving branches in Spring. Does well in POOR, DRY SOIL, but does need drainage. 3’-6’ tall and wide. No summer water in Zone 16-17 needed once established. Canary Island native.
