Annual. Discovered in Brazil in the early 1800s, this relative of smoking tobacco and other garden nicotianas is exceptional. The large leaves create a low-growing rosette that gives rise to the green bell-shaped flowers that droop from slender stems at all angles. Most intriguing is when you look inside the flowers and see the blue pollen. Very unusual in the plant world. Unlike many other nicotianas, the flowers do not have a scent. Great for floral arrangements.
