Ever try to brew a cup of tea with mint fresh out of your garden only to end up with a nicely aromatic cup of hot water with only a whiff of mint taste? Well, never again! This highly potent mint with an unmistakable sweet spearminty scent is THE mint for teas! Its clear bright and fresh mint taste is both calming and invigorating – precisely why so many tea drinkers love it! But as a culinary herb, it’s also a boon to sauces, vegetable dishes, Greek salads, couscous or any dish that requires a true mint flavor as an essential ingredient. Super easy to grow, it’s a hardy perennial that quickly becomes a 2’x2’ bush sporting bright spring-green leaves and, in mid-summer, lovely lilac colored whorls of 1” blooms on 4-5” spikes that attract butterflies and bees like crazy! Plant it in a container to avoid the typical mint tendency to spread in an unmannerly way and divide your plant every couple of years to share with friends and refresh the soil and nutrients in the pot.
