Description from Rodale's
Made using rubber from recycled tires, these waterproof boots take the dirty (and muddy) work out of gardening for you. Originally designed for rice farmers, they feature a soft, flexible upper and flat sole for all-day comfort. When not in use, each boot folds over for compact storage.
These boots are made in a small factory in Japan that sources all the rubber and completes production on-site. The company employs craftspeople who form the rubber around shoe lasts by hand, not by automated machines, and a portion of the rubber used is recycled from old tires.
