Grow Outdoor Design

Grow Outdoor Design is a landscape design firm based in Los Angeles and was established in 2005.

The design partners, Joel Lichtenwalter and Ryan Gates, met at the University of California, Los Angeles where Joel was studying Horticulture and Ryan was in the Landscape Architecture program.

They came together with a shared desire to create inspired, informed, and sustainable outdoor spaces.

Their design philosophy is simple:

Enhance the inherent qualities of the space while creating an environment that is exciting, purposeful and a reflection of its owners.
