This early blooming cold hardy camellia was originated by Dr William L. Ackerman, Ashton, Maryland, USA. First flowered 1984. Very attractive landscaping plant. Chinese synonym 'Dongqu'.

- Semidouble showing stamens
- Bright pink, blooms in mass
