The Sponeck Chair was designed by French industrial designer Julia von Sponeck while training at the ECAL school in Lausanne Switzerland. It has quickly became one of our more popular outdoor chairs. Two layers of light yet durable fiber cement are gently curved against each other and build a static, yet elastic system. The chair has got a soft paper like touch, but is shock resistant and weatherproof. The Sponeck Chair is a modern outdoor chair with a distinctive and convincing structural clarity, a beautiful chair for both indoor- and outdoor spaces. The curves of the chair was designed to offered a comfortable and relaxing place to rest. The Sponeck Chair, which would look amazing at any pool side, garden terrace, patio or in a large loft, is really perfect for any space. Whether used indoors or outdoors, this chair is a sculpture and a work of art. Comfy all-weather felt cushions (in either Red, Anthracite, Anthracite with Red or Lemongrass) make a bold contrast against the light grey chair color. The beautiful Sponeck Chair is made in Switzerland. The Julia von Sponeck designed Sponeck Chair is made of natural fiber cement. Fiber cement ingredients are: cement, powdered limestone, cellulose and synthetic fibers, water and air. Because fiber is combined with cement you get all the benefits of a durable concrete outdoor chair without the weight. The Sponeck Chair is designed for outdoor use, but looks great inside as well. The concrete like material withstands weather and is frost proof when used properly (no standing water). It resists heat, rain, and snow while still being light and fireproof.

The Sponeck Chair has a sinuous, folded form that lends itself to informal seating areas such as balconies, terraces and poolside, and it is suitable for use in all residential and light commercial environments. The chair is both strong and comfortable, with its ergonomic shape cradling the body. It has an architectural grey color that is striking when contrasted with cushions in Lemongrass, Red and Anthracite. It can be supplied with a matching Sponeck Table, which also doubles as a footstool. Sponeck is made from a proprietary, patent-protected form of fiber reinforced cement. The material is a consolidated blend of cement, limestone, cellulose fibres and polyvinyl polymers, and the resulting composite is durable, weatherproof and yet lightweight. Sponeck is part of a collection of contemporary outdoor furniture, offering the best of European design in relaxed ergonomic seating.
