Once named Plant of the Year by the Perennial Plant Association, the Purple Palace Heuchera is a spectacular choice for any landscape garden. It is one of the most popular and most recognized Heuchera varieties.
These plants, with their low mound and bronze-to-purple hue, are perfect for adding color and contrast to your outdoor space. In late spring to early summer, Purple Palace Heuchera produces tall, thin stems that extend well above the plant and bloom tiny pinkish or white flowers.
Purple Palace Heuchera are an extremely attractive option for edging borders. Or, you can plant them in rock gardens, open woodland gardens or even containers. You can also plant them together in groups to form a beautiful ground covering.
Don’t let its beauty fool you; this plant is very sturdy and easily grown. It will tolerate full sun in Northern climates and does well in a wide range of soil types.
