Do not use outdoor soils/mixes in containers; garden and top soils are too dense for container plants, and may suffocate plant roots.
This soil is best used by mixing in with the native soil. Do not backfill the planting hole of trees and shrubs with the straight product, as this can prevent the roots from leaving the planting hole. Mix at least one half native soil in before backfilling this type of planting hole.
