Description from Design Within Reach

It’s no mistake that the Mid-Century Sunshade evokes the minimalist aesthetic of Southern California modern in the 1950s: It was developed by Brown Jordan for the Case Study houses. The shade’s sculptural form is dictated by its versatile functionality. Its small footprint allows for flexible placement and the rotating shade accommodates a change in seating or the movement of the sun. Contract quality, it works well in multiples over individual lounge chairs or dining tables. Brown Jordan had helped define the shape of outdoor leisure furniture and accessories since it was started in Pasadena, California, in 1945 by Robert Brown and Huber Jordan. A PVC insert in the hole of the base will need to be removed prior to installation. The Mobile Stand for the Mid-Century Sunshade is sold separately.

Materials : Aluminum; stainless-steel hardware; Versatex® vinyl; Suncloth® dyed acrylic. MOBILE STAND, concrete-filled aluminum with Tuff-Wheels
