Lobster Rope Doormats bring a true piece of Maine history into your home. Woven from recycled Maine float-rope that once tethered lobster traps in the ocean, the doormats are an innovative way to protect the environment.

Virtually indestructible, these mats can withstand even the worst weather Mother Nature throws at them. Clean up is a snap, too. Just shake the mat out or hose it down – it’s even quick-drying! Recommended for non-skid surfaces only.

Doormats available in three sizes: Medium (approximately 18″ x 30″), MediumPLUS (approximately 21″ x 33″) and Large (approximately 24″ x 36″). Choose from the widest variety of colors options available anywhere – based on our in-stock inventory.

Because each doormat from Down East Maine is handcrafted from recycled rope, no two are quite the same. Exact colors and tones may vary, and some rope has colored flecks in them. However, we’ve done our best to represent the colors we have available, and we’re sure you will be delighted when you receive yours!
