From Schär: the traditional type of weave in coconut velour generates a tremendously thick, coarse carpet that reliably collects not only dirt, but also dust. We offer a standard format and one with enough area for large entrances and big feet.

For over 75 years in the idyllic municipality of Eisenchmitt in the middle of the Vulkaneifel district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, the company Schär has been processing coconut threads into high-quality carpets and mats for industrial and commercial use, as well as private households. Schär obtains the natural coconut fiber from India and Sri Lanka, but all steps in their further processing take place at their mill: in old, mechanical, environmentally-friendly production plants that have otherwise become quite rare in Germany.
