A deep breath would be a good start. Beyond that, I’m eager to try out a potion or two from a modern apothecary. Marble & Milkweed‘s Briar Winters has put together a collection of soothing forest-scented organic products in a Winter Getaway Kit:
Above: Packed in a drawstring linen bag, a Winter Getaway Kit includes body oil, facial tonic and a moisturizer, a cotton wash cloth, herbal tea, a cedar smudge stick, and a smoky quartz crystal. It is $48.
Above: Also available separately, a 2-ounce bottle of Winter Nourishing Body Oil is $32. Ingredients include jojoba oil, essential oils of frankincense, Himalayan cedar, myrrh, silver fir, Douglas fir, and non-GMO Vitamin E (not recommended for pregnant or nursing women).
Above: Nourishing Facial Balm, also sold separately in two sizes for prices ranging from $16 to $32, “is very gentle and is full of soothing botanicals, but as with any product that’s new to you, try a small patch test first to ensure its compatibility with your skin,” says Winters.
