City Living: A Portable Balcony Garden From France

March 22, 2013

Tiny apartment, big ideas—how can you (attractively) cram the most plants onto a miniscule balcony this spring? We like the idea of starting small with a portable baloncy garden kit by French designer Romain Vesvre. Made of solid wood, the balcony garden is configurable; add more shelves, planter boxes, and hanging bars as space allows:

Above: Made of pine and beech, a basic single-unit Potager Hors Sol Mon Pré-Vert kit is195€ from Botanic. Ties for hanging tools and pots are included. Add boxes, shelves, and additional units as space allows. Image via Romain Vesvre.
