Curb Appeal: A White Mailbox That’s Green

Here’s a clever idea to add a bit of low-maintenance green to a front entrance: the Green Mailbox, a mail collector and wall mounted planter in one.

Above: A product concept designed by Marcial Ahsayane and his Brussels-based Ashayane Studio, the Green Mailbox is a play on the the classic square wall-mounted mailbox. It offers a plant shelf situated at the lower end of the tilted roof. (We are hopeful that Ahsayane’s client will put this into production.)

Above: Built-in irrigation: A trough runs down the center of the roof to a spout positioned over the pot on the wall mounted planter.

Above: The spout funnels rainwater to its desired target.
