Favorite Shops: Susan (no website but worth visiting for Comme des Garçons jackets) and Modern Appealing Clothing for avant-garde cocktail dressing from Belgian and Japanese designers; Esqueleto for rough-cut jewels; Tail of the Yak for Berkeley bohemia; Annie’s Annuals & Perennials for an insane selection of coastal Californian plants; Monterey Market for the best produce in the Bay.

Design Haunts: The Gardener for wabi-sabi; The Rose Bowl Flea Market for reclaimed wood furniture; Tortoise General Store for tabletop; and The Future Perfect for my someday chandelier from Lindsey Adelman. 

Cheryl lives in a loft, where she tends an edible rooftop garden and cooks for family and friends. A former fashion editor, she is now a freelance author and copywriter for lifestyle brands.
